The Ninth Ave Band at The Ironwood Featuring PJ Perry
Hailed as one of Canada’s best big bands, Ninth Avenue Band consists of 18 full time members, and performs live in Calgary, Alberta, and across Canada. The band has a wide range of repertoire suited for audiences of all ages and musical tastes, from traditional jazz charts to funk, R & B, and Latin. The band’s members are high level, professional musicians with a wealth of experience across all genres, having played with big bands, small jazz groups, orchestras, chamber groups and performing in musical theatre and Broadway productions. Each player brings their own unique sound and personality to the performances. Live performances showcase the band’s experience; many of the members having played together for over 30 years.

Founded in 2018 by Edmonton's Audrey Ochoa and Calgary's Jon May, the Canadian Ska Orchestra is an impressive multi-player ensemble that brings a bold, brass-heavy sound to the ska genre. With a lineup that features multiple saxophones, trombones and trumpets, their performances are a high-energy celebration of ska, rocksteady, jazz, punk, and even a few pop influences.
